Resilience Test Success

The NNW Technical Team recently performed the first of a series of network resilience tests, which were a great success and proved the fantastic resilience of the network.  

In the first of these tests, a failure of the primary link between NNW and JANET was simulated by disabling the Manchester-based link; results showed that traffic re routed successfully. When  the link was brought back into service, traffic switched back to the primary link without further interruption to traffic.

Subsequent tests will look at simulating other failures and also look at testing the results of reconfiguration work currently underway.
