The Future of Net North West

To support the complex technology that SuperJANET5 brings, Net North West is upgrading its network to match the SJ5 capabilities, over the next five years.

This includes improving core resilience, introducing the Merseyside ring to link sites around Liverpool, improving resilience to individual sites, as there are some members that only have one route for data to travel to their main site. Net North West will also be working to meet the complex technical requirements of its E-science and E-research members - Daresbury Laboratory, University of Manchester (for physics and Jodrell Bank) and the University of Liverpool (for physics).
